a challenge

This year marked many goals set for our family.  In order to attain these goals, we decided to try to search ways to live more organically.  Living organically has so many different meanings and, in my opinion, is thrown around a bit too casually.  It's not about eating organic food or purchasing clothing made of organic fabrics or composting and growing a garden, etc...  For us, it's about getting back to basics and making sure that we are living more real.

We have always had a summer garden but I am wanting more than what we've been producing.  The ideas are endless.  I've started sewing and taking inventory of closets and trying to be more wise about clothing purchases.  Repurposing is very appealing for financial, environmental and creative reasons.

We aren't trying to change the world but we are trying to make sure that our goals are attainable and that we show our children how to be good stewards of our planet.  This blog will chronicle my adventures in turning our existence into one with a bit more meaning to us.
